Dylan to Host XM Satellite Radio Show

NEW YORK - Bob Dylan will host a weekly music show on XM Satellite Radio, the first time the rock star has had his own radio show.
Dylan will select music for the hour-long show, which will debut in March on XM's deep album rock channel, the station announced Tuesday.
He'll also offer comments on music and other subjects, interview guests and answer e-mail from XM subscribers.
"Songs and music have always inspired me," the 64-year-old Dylan said in a statement. "A lot of my own songs have been played on the radio, but this is the first time I've ever been on the other side of the mic."

stern is a big deal..... but he & dylan remain the only
logical reasons for getting sattelite radio in the first
place.....
it's like buying cable just for your car, and then having
only one good station that comes in a few hours a week.. -

Fri, December 16, 2005 - 5:51 PMok this may sound like a dumb question but i have no tv and stay f-far away from that world but i'm really interested in this dylan radio program. how do i get satellite radio? is it only available in my car? there should be a way it can beam right to my ipod or something. ya? -

Mon, April 24, 2006 - 10:55 PMDylan show starts May 3rd... There's a preview show up on the XM site and listening to it - Dylan introducing the music and playing it - makes it pretty damn tempting even if it's just the one hour a week of Dylan... If he's this good every show it'll be worth it just for his show.
